Homeschool Socialization Rebel in Michigan

I think the socialization theory is laughable.

Why do people think the "best" way to "socialize" someone is to put them with 30 other people that are the same age. I'm forty, went to public school, but I don't just socialize with only 40 year old people.

Socialization comes from exposure to many different people of all walks of life.

When I take my two homeschool girls out in public they are polite, intelligent and calm. I see some other children in stores, resturants, even family functions where these other children are acting like wild animal, like they have been caged with 30 other wild animals for 8 hours.

That's my rant!!!
