Worried your children aren't learning?

Learning all the Time is a wonderful video made by homeschooled children about how they learn.

We have to call it School
This video was made in Denmark by Peggy Hughes. The film is about a small school in which she worked, called the New Little School.

John Holt was involved in the making of this film, and called it his dream school. The film is crackly and the sound bad, but this is such a wonderful film about learning - and an inspiration for homeschoolers.

It is 35 minutes long, but worth watching all the way through. I loved the shot of the child up a tree with a saw!!

Sugata Mitra's "Hole in the Wall" experiments have shown that, in the absence of supervision or formal teaching, children can teach themselves and each other, if they're motivated by curiosity and peer interest.

A video of a talk by Sugata has recently been posted on TED - it makes interesting viewing. And proves that children CAN teach themselves.
