Homeschool Writing - Letters and Greetings

by Nutan
(India, Hyderabad )

A good way to do some homeschool writing is to make the kids write letters to the friends in the neighborhood or relatives- uncle , aunt, grandparents on various topics-

  • How they spent their vacation.
  • How they celebrated the new year's eve.
  • Writing an invitation letter inviting friends and relatives over a birthday party etc.

  • Letters of thanks, or sorry to dear one to express the feelings in written form can be encouraged. Greetings can be hand made for various occasions and shared with friends and relatives.

Hi Nutan - that is a great idea. Even before mine could write we sent off colored pictures and drawings to friends and relations - a great way to get the children to practice their name.

Or you could send random acts of kindness notes to people.

    Poetry writing
    by: Nutan

Help children explore their imagination. What could be more better than starting with poems. Give your child a theme on anything they see or sense and help him/her to put new creative things linked to that theme, something which can be viewed in a different angle from your child's point of view. It would bring us real great surprises for parents, to watch your children grow with fascinating ideas. All the Best !
