Mother/Daughter Vision Boards

by Monica
(Michigan)

I have a friend who was introduced to vision boards through "image" classes she took at a church.

I was so moved by things I learned about her from the boards (even though we had been close friends for 20 years!) that I wanted her to "teach" my husband, kids & me to do one.

Well, that went over so well that I began seeing how everyone could benefit from these boards! However, I narrowed a target group down to mothers and daughters and invited a group of 14 to learn more about themselves and each other through the boards.

Wow, what an eyeopener it turned out to be! The daughters were all 15 and over. I was amazed at the number of moms who commented, "I never knew my daughter wanted to do that," or "I'm so excited to see that my daughter wants to do/be something other than..."

It was an overall great experience for both the moms and the daughters. As each person finished their board, I had them explain it to the group and I took a photo of them with their boards. It was an all-around great experience for everyone!

Thank you Monica - I love the idea of doing vision boards with a group. What a great way for mothers and daughters to get to know each other better.

I love to make the boards with my children - and seeing how they achieve their dreams over the year.

Thanks again, Julie.
