Summer Homeschool with Unit Studies

Summer has always been a time for short unit studies that the enitre family gets involved in.

For our study on the South Pacific Dad made New Zealand fry bread with the kids, Papa gave an interview on WWII and Meme made hula skirts with us! We read some awesome books as a family after a long hot day at the pool...like Swiss Family Robinson and Call To Courage. We tried to map out where the family might have landed (daddy really loved that one).

Summer has also taught me to relax during the school year! We ALL enjoy summer session so much...why not make it a year round thing. As a result we have moved to more unit oriented homeshcooling.
