Looking to find a used homeschooling curriculum for sale. There are lots of places to look if you get creative.

Finding Used Homeschool Curriculum for Sale

Chosen your best homeschool curriculum? And now want to get the best deal? There are several places you can look to find a bargain.

  • Ask at your homeschool groups.
Be sure to ask around your area for anyone selling their old curriculums. If you put out the word that you are looking then you may get a great bargain.

  • Online Groups.
Many curriculums or methods of homeschooling have online groups (such as Yahoo groups). Members there often have used homeschool curriculums for sale. It is also worth asking on the online groups for your local area. Here are some examples :
Can't find a group for you? Get some homeschooling advice and I will see if I can help.

  • Try specialist stores.
There are several online stores that deal with used curriculum. Keep an eye out - especially in the summer when families are clearing out to make space for their new program. Here are some places to start.
  • Amazon and Ebay.
Many families sell their used programs and books directly via amazon or ebay, so don't forget to look there. On ebay you can ask to be emailed if a particular item comes up for sale - so make use of this useful service.

  • Curriculum Fairs or Conferences.
If you can get to a fair or conference near you, then this is an ideal place to look.

  • Advertise.
If you live in an area with lots of homeschoolers, it may be worth advertising in your local classifieds - or put up a notice in your local newsagents window.

  • Join your local Freecycle group.
Freecyle is a group where people give away things they no longer need. You can post on the groups asking for specific items - a great way to reach other homeschoolers who may have curriculums sitting there that they no longer use.

Still can't find that used homeschool curriclum for sale? Don't give up - you still have options.

  • Try a FREE homeschooling Curriculum instead.
There are several free curriculum available - why not check them out and see if they suit you.

  • Share or Swop.
Find another family in your area also looking for the same thing - and club together to buy a new one. Then work out how you can share and swop the curriculum during the year.

  • Write your own homeschool curriculum.
Writing your own program is not so hard to do - and you can take advantage of free homeschooling resources and materials to keep the costs down.
